Douglas Green is a full time Canadian writer living on an island in the Kingston, 1000 Islands region of Canada for the summers and (usually) further south for the winter.
The author of over 30 books and ebooks, including the award-winning ‘Garden Wisdom’, Doug now writes for his websites and whatever else catches his fancy.
His current “real world” project is landscaping his own gardens for his wife Mayo Underwood (an heirloom seed expert and potter) and surrounding them with dry stone walls.
Doug grew up in the country – the swamps, fields and forests outside Toronto in what is now paved and called Pickering – endured through Pickering High School and ran gladly to Western for a BA and U of Toronto for a Masters.
A voracious reader, Doug collects antique books as well as his boyhood favorites Tom Swift and The Hardy Boys. If not in his garden, or curled up with a good book, he’ll be on some back road somewhere in his classic 1977 Spitfire.
